If you have questions about how the Vanished Hillsdale Mercantile works, please start here. We've done our best to anticipate some of the bigger questions, but if you don't find an answer, feel free to reach out to us using the link at the bottom of this page.
Q: HOW MUCH OF MY PURCHASE IS DONATED?- The actual dollar amount of your purchase that are donated will vary depending on the item(s) you've purchased. We donate 100% of the profits from all of the Vanished Hillsdale products, split evenly, between the Mitchell research Center and the Hillsdale County Historical Society. The only exception to this is that all of the profits from the Hillsdale Wind Symphony (HWS) Christmas CD are donated to the HWS.
Production, materials, taxes, and credit card fees are deducted from the purchase price and the remainder is donated. That Michigan Store and Heritage Multimedia, LLC, who are sponsoring the online store, do not receive any income or service fees from this sale.

Due the extended amount of time it takes to mail a check and wait for it to clear, we highly recommend using our secure, online purchase option. If you don't feel comfortable using a credit card online, consider asking a friend or relative to make the online purchase for you, and then reimburse them directly.
If you would still prefer to pay by check, please contact us by email (hello@thatmichiganstore.com) with the items you would like to purchase. We will provide you with the final amount due after calculating shipping and taxes. We will then provide mailing instructions for the check. Due the inefficient process of paying by checks, we cannot guarantee your purchase(s) will be delivered in time for Christmas.
